Overview

Robost is an AI data loss prevention platform built for security teams at mid-sized and large organizations. It gives you continuous visibility into how employees use generative AI tools — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini — and lets you enforce policies that prevent sensitive data from leaving your organization through those channels.

Robost operates at three points in the AI interaction lifecycle:

  1. Intercept — A browser extension captures the text employees submit to AI platforms before it leaves the browser. On-device machine learning classifies the content against 25 detection types covering PII, source code, financial data, healthcare records, legal documents, and more.

  2. Enforce — Configurable policies decide what happens when a detection fires. Depending on the scenario, the extension can block a submission, warn the employee and require a justification, or log the event silently.

  3. Report — All detections and policy fires are recorded in a centralized dashboard where security admins can triage alerts, review employee activity, and track trends over time.

Robost is designed for security admins, SOC leads, and compliance managers responsible for data protection at organizations with 250 or more employees. It is particularly relevant where employees use AI tools with access to sensitive internal data — source code, customer records, financial projections, clinical data, or legal materials.

SurfacePurpose
Admin dashboardWeb application at app.robostai.com — alerts, analytics, employee directory, policy configuration
Browser extensionChrome MV3 extension deployed via MDM or Chrome Enterprise — intercepts prompts and enforces policies on the employee’s device
IntegrationsStripe for billing and seat management; SSO (roadmap); SIEM forwarding (roadmap)

The extension is the only component that touches employee data. Classification runs locally via ONNX WASM — no raw prompt content is transmitted to Robost servers. Only anonymized metadata and detection results are stored.
